Gucci, an Italian luxury brand owned by French luxury group Kaiyun, recently announced that the next men's and women's mixed fashion show will be held in Castel Del Monte, a medieval castle in Puglia, southern Italy, on May 16. Gucci will also support the subsequent renovation project of this historical site to better "enhance the tourist experience".
Monte castle was built around the 13th century by Frederick II, the Holy Roman Emperor (Duke of schwaben). It is located on the hill 540 meters above sea level in the town of Andria. The castle has a unique shape and is octagonal. It is mainly made of limestone and quartz blocks. The style belongs to the early Gothic architecture in southern Italy and is influenced by Romanesque and Arab Norman styles.
Monte castle is known as "the most beautiful castle in Italy". Its image is engraved on the back of the Italian version of a penny euro. It was listed in the world heritage list by UNESCO in 1996.
Alessandro Michele, creative director of Gucci, will continue to "talk to some major historical sites". In 2018 and 2019, gucci released the early spring vacation Series in the Roman Necropolis of alyscamps in Arles, southern France, and the Capitoline museums in Rome, respectively.
